I go out to eat lunch with a bunch of my friends on Friday.
We’re all sitting there enjoying a burger and fry, when all of a sudden we stop, tilt our heads, and say at the same time “They’re playing Christmas Music!“
The entire table groans and sneers…
Yes, Christmastime is HERE!
(Wait, what happened to Thanksgiving?)
Everywhere you go, Christmas is in full force already. And, if you think about it, it’s really not that far away. 6.5 weeks? WOW!
Black Friday Deals are coming. Jewelry Stores have their cute little Christmas Pieces out (I know, I bought one yesterday), and that means: Christmas Sweaters, Christmas Hats, Christmas Broaches, and Christmas Watches! It’s all here!
So, it’s a good thing that Amazon sells all this stuff (along with the Reindeer Antlers that go on your vehicle: Car Reindeer Antler Kit).
Feast your eyes upon some cool Christmas Holiday Watches… Just to get you into the mood…
Now, before you run off and buy some Watches, let me tell you a few tips and pointers…
Holiday Watch Tips
- Most of these “FUN” Holiday Watches are Cheap and Cheaply made. The cases will often crack when opening the back of the Watch. Sometimes the band itself will snap off…
The watches are usually made out of Plastic and aren’t built to last!
- They aren’t Waterproof!
So if you get them wet, get caught in the rain, or snow, forget to take it off doing dishes or taking a shower, then your Watch will probably get wet, rust, and ruin. Not cool!
- Changing the Batteries is a BEAR! Yep, most Cheap Watches are very difficult to open and get to the batteries (without the proper Watch Tools). And yes, I said “Batteries“. Most of the time, these types of Watches will have 2 or 3 or even 4 cells inside the movement (and generally these are a couple of layers deep).
And then, think about this: Watch Batteries are NOT cheap! Sometimes they will cost you $5 each! (more than the Watch is worth).
But then again, you do want to hear Jingle Bells don’t you?
And lastly…
- Remove the Batteries when you aren’t wearing the Watch!
Batteries tend to leak and corrode inside Watches (all Watches), and for a Watch that you only wear a couple of weeks a year, you’ll end up buying a new Watch every season! :(
Luckily, Amazon does have some Cool Christmas Watches…
Just make sure you stock up on a few Watch Batteries! :)
