The crown of thorns was originally used to mock Jesus Christ before he was crucified.
Romans twisted this crown of thorns and placed it upon his head;
“Hail the King of Jews!”
They beat him, spit on him, insulted him…
And it all served as a constant reminder to us, that the crown of thorns stands for something greater than mankind.
It’s a reminder of the pain and suffering that Jesus did for all our sins. He was the son of God, and he endured the wrath for our own good.
He was Truly Worthy
By suffering death, he tasted death for everyone. And so the thorn is a symbol, a remembrance of the evil curse, the sin of man… and wearing a thorn will keep all focused, and bearing upon the right path.
So wear a thorn, a crown upon your finger, and keep your faith in God strong.
