So I decided to show you examples of different Clarities in the form of a Diamond Picture Gallery!
Below are the most popular Diamond Clarity Grades: IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2 and I1.
I have picked an arrangement of 10x Microscopic photos from James Allen’s Diamond Selection so you can see for yourself how each Clarity Grade is represented and even, how different they may be.
One thing you will notice is the shift between SI1 and SI2. It’s pretty dramatic.
When you go from Diamonds that have invisible Inclusions (Only seen under a Microscope), to Diamonds that have eye-visible Inclusions (Visible just by looking at the stone), it really is an eye-opener!
SI1 and higher Clarity Diamonds look similar in appearance. But SI2 Diamonds and especially I1 Diamonds look flawed. Some more than others…
