Magnetic?
YES! And what they do is wonderful.
You see, so many people have a hard time hooking clasps. Whether it be the little bitty spring ring, or a lobster claw clasp, neither are particularly easy to fumble with, open or close.
These slick clasps are difficult to hold, manipulate, pull the springs down with your fingernail, and link through little jump rings like an obstacle course… ALL WHILE BEHIND YOUR NECK! No fun. Especially if you have lots of hair that gets in the way.
So what’s a great alternative that makes wearing a chain or pendant easier?
MAGNETIC CLASP CONVERTERS
It’s a converter that has an extra clasp on one end, and a jump ring on the other. In the center there are two very powerful magnets, and that’s the simplicity and beauty of it all.
They allow you to attach the gizmo to the ends of your chain (they fasten and unfasten just like a normal chain), but you only have to do it once. Once hooked, you no longer have to mess with it ever again (unless you want to remove it, or put it on another chain).
Magnetic clasps can work on any size of chain, any length, any weight, and they come in many different styles too: white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, black steel, brass, two-tone…
It’s fast, it’s easy…
Take a peek:
See, just attach it to your chain, and then to open your necklace, simply pull the magnets apart. To fasten, put your fingers together and the magnets will automatically snap shut. They’re strong, durable and will work on chains or bracelets. Buy a couple of different sets for all of your chains (if you’re allergic to nickel or metals, make sure you purchase 14k gold).
Also note that some converters come with 2 clasps, on on either side. These will work great if you remove the clasp that’s on your chain first (or if it broke off). Like so:
And, if the converter doesn’t have a clasp at all, just jump rings at the ends, then those are made for stringing pearls or beads. The cords get tied to the ends. :)
So if you have a hard time working clasps, if you have arthritis, poor circulation, numb fingers, horrible dexterity… Then look into magnetic clasps. They work wonders and are inexpensive too.

Cheers! :)
