WOW!
Just WOW!
I’ve seen some dark included diamonds in my time, but this diamond takes the cake.
It’s so dark and black and filled with inclusions, that it almost resembles a fancy black diamond instead.
Look at this…
The funny thing is, it’s $7,399.99!
That’s Crazy!
For an I1 clarity diamond (meaning, it could still be worse), with an F color (actually pure white, a nice color), with a huge carat weight (1.21 carats)…
But the cut is not great…
It’s graded “GOOD“, and graded by IGI (so that “GOOD” grade is questionable).
The only thing keeping the price so high, is the carat weight and the color.
Why would anyone buy such a hideous stone?
That I don’t know. I have a feeling it will never sell (unless the price is cut in half, and even then???).
Especially when you compare 1.20 carats, I1 clarity, pure white to other stones…
These two diamonds are pretty much the same quality, better looking, and for wayyyyyy less money than Kays:
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
1.22, I1, F, EXCELLENT, VG, VG, STRONG | $4,360 | VIEW |
1.21, I1, F, EX, EX, EX, FAINT | $5,150 | VIEW |
Plus, they’re graded by GIA (the best there is).
The comparison is so extreme, that you would believe you were comparing a black diamond against a white diamond…
As seen here…
So if you’re looking to spend $7,400 for a diamond, shop around. Check out James Allen (their prices are the lowest online)…
