Here’s some Helpful Advice:
If you’re Selling your Used, Old, or Worn Jewelry (Rings, Pendants, Bracelets, Earrings), then know this:
Jewelers usually only Pay for the METAL!
Metals like Silver, Gold, Platinum…
Which means, if you have Diamonds or Gemstones in those Mountings, often you’ll Get Very Little or NOTHING for them!
Many Jewelers tell you this up Front, others DON’T!
So Always Inquire!
Ask if they’re only giving you “Scrap Metal Value” and not Considering the Stones…
Because if that’s the case, then you’re Better off Removing the Stones and Diamonds from the Mountings, and just selling the Metal by themselves.
You can always Reset the Stones into NEW Mountings, Trade them in towards Something else, Sell them outright, or pass them on to Family and Friends.
WHY THROW THEM AWAY?
It’s something Few People think about, but it’s the Truth!
And sometimes Jewelers will give you a Few Extra Bucks for those Gems, but still, it isn’t much unless you’ve got Big Diamonds of Nice Quality.
So know what you’re getting into when you’re Selling or Pawning your Old, Used Jewelry.
Sure you’ll get some Pocket Change, but it’s a Sad thing when you get ZERO Credit for the Diamonds.
