Yes… This is a thing.

A permanent thing. Soldering a bracelet on your arm (also called a forever bracelet, forever welded bracelet, or infinity bracelet).

That means, there is no clasp, no connector, no snaps or rings… and no way of removing the bracelet off your arm, other than cutting it off…

Sounds crazy, but it’s true, and it’s growing in popularity.

Why would you want this done?

Probably out of commitment (like a promise ring), or a relationship, best friends, group of pals…

It’s like matching tattoos, or a break-away best friend necklace… Only this time, it’s permanent…

Well, sort of!

You see, these bracelets, which gets soldered on your wrist by a professional jeweler at a jewelry store, are usually dainty bracelets. They’re not huge, just small delicate bracelets that can be removed quickly if needed (like if you have to go through airport security). A pair of wire snips is all you need…

So it’s not like it’s on there for life… Just the life of the bracelet.

If it needs to be removed if you get it caught, or an emergency, it’s not that big of a deal. As long as it’s delicate and dainty. And if you get a bracelet that’s really frail, you could probably break it off with your hand or scissors.
