CHEAP?
Or inexpensive…
Either way, the price is low. It’s a bargain for a diamond.
Especially when it comes to Flawless stones. Flawless is generally regarded as 2 specific clarities: Flawless (FL), and Internally Flawless (IF).
These are the top two grades of clarity in the world. Meaning, the inside of these diamonds is perfectly clean. There are no visible flaws, even under intense magnification with a microscope.
And trust me, they are STUNNING!
It’s hard to believe that Mother Nature can produce such beautiful perfection. But she does. And they are ultra-rare, and very expensive (depending on the quality).
So what are the Cheapest Diamonds?
Well… It really depends on your definition of Flawless. You see, at the time of this post, the “cheapest” Flawless diamond is just $410. Yes, that’s right, 4 hundred dollars! It’s a .31 carat, Emerald Cut Diamond, IF, I for $410.
As seen here…
(And Yesterday, there was actually one CHEAPER. It was this .23 Round Diamond, IF, K that sold for $400… it sold very fast, all the good, cheap stones fly off the shelves likety-split – And now, the cheapest “round” diamond is sitting at $460, a .26, IF, I, HERE.
But, for a Flawless diamond, most people would expect better. Better and BIGGER…
Like a 1 Carat Diamond!
1 carat diamonds are the “dream” carat weight. The size that everyone wants and dreams of. So let’s shift our gaze and go bigger. See what the cheapest 1 carat flawless diamonds are…
Take a peek:
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
1.07, IF, K, ASSCHER CUT, VG, VG, SLIGHT | $2,570 | VIEW |
1.00, IF, J, CUSHION CUT, EX, VG, NONE | $2,580 | VIEW |
1.02, IF, J, EMERALD CUT, VG, VG, NONE | $2,840 | VIEW |
WOW!
Really? For as little as $2,570 you can get a 1 carat Flawless diamond?
That’s CHEAP!
But still… Did you see those colors? They face up a tad bit yellow. Not so appealing for “flawless” is it?
Plus, the cuts are not the best either. And some in this price range even have fluorescence.
If you’re trying to buy “flawless“, it almost seems counterproductive (and a shame) to slack in all the other characteristics.
So let’s turn it up a notch
Perfection demands perfection.
Let’s now see what 1 carat diamonds sell for that are not only Flawless, but also rated “perfect” in color: D… And with zero fluorescence, “excellent” polish and symmetry…
This is what you get:
(Look at how WHITE those are!)
Buy them all here:
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
1.01, IF, D, EMERALD CUT, EX, EX, NONE | $8,200 | VIEW |
1.01, IF, D, CUSHION CUT, EX, EX, NONE | $8,440 | VIEW |
1.03, IF, D, OVAL CUT, EX, EX, NONE | $9,120 | VIEW |
$8,200, Not Bad at all!
And just to compare… (since rounds are the most popular cut)…
Here’s a round brilliant cut diamond (also the most expensive cut) that sells for $13,110.
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
1.00, IF, D, EXCELLENT CUT, EX, EX, NONE | $13,110 | VIEW |
So the “cheapest” is $410… But the “flawless” diamond that you’d really like jumps up to around $8,200.
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
.31, IF, I, EMERALD CUT, VG, VG, SLIGHT | $410 | VIEW |
1.00, IF, D, EMERALD CUT, EX, EX, NONE | $8,200 | VIEW |
And with most people spending between $3,000-$8,000 for an engagement ring anyway, it doesn’t seem that far fetched to go for broke.
You might as well get Flawless!
Because “flawless” is the best of the best. The cream of the crop…
