Want Advice from a PRO Jeweler? – Buy This One –

I’m a diplomat from the GIA and a pro jeweler. I’m also a physician.
I’ve been in the jewelry business for decades now and have used many cleaners, solutions, machines, cloths, chemical treatments. They all have merit for what I wanted them to do. Simply, this Magnasonic is the best ultrasonic cleaner at this price point! You can buy bigger and more expensive, but why? You want a great US cleaner? This does the job!!

I put this through its paces with cleaning. Tried my glasses, several desperately dirty diamond/gold pieces, old silver (after tarnish removal), and even several old coins. Great job, all around!

Several cautions: Never use with pearls; Never use with softer stone jewelry like opals & corals; Never use with anything cracked or loose!! Check the web, especially GIA, before putting any colored stone jewelry in an ultrasonic cleaner.

After you’ve educated yourself about ultrasonic cleaners, here’s my tips: 1) Pre soak diamond/gold rings in Windex (R) for 10 mins before putting into cleaner. 2) Use ‘coffee hot’ DISTILLED or DEIONIZED water in the cleaner, about 400cc. Microwave it in a Pyrex measuring cup. 3) Use commercial US cleaner as directed, I like Ionix, OR Dawn (R) dish soap 4-5 drops. 4) Rinse your jeweler or glasses with distilled or DI water after cleaning.

Follow the manufacturers directions and maybe my recs, you will LOVE the results. I do.

Impulse buy but SO WORTH IT!! –

Just bought this today and I was so excited to try it that I’ve already tested two things. My main reason for buying it was to clean my invisalign trays because, lets face it, they get nasty. Doesn’t matter how much denture cleaner I use or how much I brush them, they are no match to the morning breath scent that lingers in them even after cleaning. I figured I could also use it to clean my engagement and wedding ring because I am newly wed and still like to watch it sparkle on my hand. I compared a few different ones and this one looked the nicest and seemed to have the most positive reviews.

First I tested out an old invisalign tray that had been soaking in Polident solution all day but, upon drying, still was kind of musty. I add a splash of mouthwash to the warm water and let it do its thing for 4 mins. The trays smelled great afterwards. I can’t speak about removing the filmy look as my trays didn’t have that.

Then I put it to the test with my rings. I added a few drops of dawn to warm water, set it to 4 mins and HOLY CRAP – they sparkled so much afterwards. My rings get so dingy looking and this made them look brand new! You can’t really tell from the photos but, trust me, it did wonders on them.

It’s small, unlike some other bulky ones I came across while comparing products, and the color and design looks great. It isn’t loud at all, kind of a low hum. It actually sounds louder in the video than it does in person. It does warm up a bit but it didn’t cause any warping of my invisalign trays because of it.

I purchased this based on the reviews, and I’m so happy with it. I have free cleaning at my jewelers, but it’s so rare that I’m able to make it there. I realized that my ring needed a better cleaning than I could do with my solution at home when people stopped commenting on how pretty it was. I’ve added a before and after. I ran it twice on the 480 seconds setting and it looks brand new.

All of my jewelry looks like it just came from the store! –

I LOVE this jewelry cleaner!! I had one years ago and it did not work as well as this one. It broke and I never bothered to replace it. My mother gave me some of her jewelry and I wanted to clean it so I purchased this cleaner. WOW! A little Dawn dish soap and water and everything sparkles as if it just came from a jewelers showcase. After cleaning my Mom’s jewelry I started on my own. I didn’t realize gold tarnished. I feel like I have an entire new collection of jewelry!!! This has been so much fun cleaning and enjoying all the things I got tired of wearing over the years. It’s like they all have a new life! Works great on silver too!

My daughter’s all have beautiful rings and they also were so impressed with how beautiful they came out of this remarkable cleaner!

The only thing I wish this had is a handle on the basket to help with removing it from the cleaner and some kind of hook to suspend more delicate things in the solution. Buy this. It really works!!

I just used this and I am IN LOVE!! I paired it with the Blitz jewelry cleaner. My rings were gross from lotion, sunscreen, hand soap, sweat etc. I don’t have time to run to my jeweler to get them professionally cleaned. This does the trick, and same exact results! In 3 minutes!
