Diamond studs are one of the best selling jewelry gifts ever. This is because they are not only simple, stylish, and easy to wear, but they are the most “non-committal” gifts you can buy. Studs are round, normally. That’s the safest bet. But you can also buy princess cut, pear cut, emerald cut… Generally 14k white gold works best, for it doesn’t add color into the stones, and tends to make them pop and look whiter on the ear. And the bigger the studs, the better. Especially if she already has some. I usually advise 1.00 carat total weight studs (that’s a half carat each lobe). Diamond pendants are always a charming gift. Cute single stone pendants, or ones with a fun halo of diamonds around them. They make infinity pendants, heart beat pendants (where the diamond dances in the light when worn), love knot pendants, eternity pendants, and so on. You can’t go wrong with diamond pendants, and you can always buy creative things like: dog paw pendants, diamond bar pendants, name pendants, initials, or Mickey Mouse pendants. When I say diamond rings, I don’t mean engagement rings (unless that’s what you want to give her for a special occasion). I’m talking about fashion rings. Things like hearts, stackable rings, bands, curly cues, open lattice, anything with some style or cute design. Simple rings, small petite rings. They don’t need a ton of diamonds. Just something that has great brilliance and goes with her other jewelry (white gold, yellow gold, rose gold). Look at the styles she wears now as examples. And don’t worry about getting it sized. When she gets it, if she loves it, she’ll figure out which finger to wear it on and get it sized to fit.

Some gems like opal, onyx, and pearl are more fragile and may not last as long as other, more durable gems. The top hardest gemstones are ruby and sapphire. But, those are also some of the most expensive as well. Look at bright gemstones that have a lot of sparkle. Some stones are very dark and show no life (lower quality, lower price). I would stay away from those. Bright stones, with some added diamonds, that can be worn all the time are perfect for gift wrapping and wowing her when she opens the box.

#10 Wrist Watches

Lastly, wrist watches. Or smart watches… and maybe even a fitness watch. I usually advise something with some dazzle, bling, cz’s… Something easy to read… pink or light dials… Some women like dainty faces, others love the big chunky fat watches that take up their entire wrist. They are both in style, and it all depends on what she wears and likes. Peek at her arm before you buy. And don’t worry about getting it sized or adjusted until after you know she likes it.
