WEDDING BANDS THAT CANNOT BE SIZED

The internet is awesome. You can order wedding bands online at Amazon, for almost nothing (literally $1 and up HERE)…

I mean, how can you go wrong? You can’t…

ALMOST!

Because there’s one huge hurdle, one catch to overcome:

SIZING!

Most wedding bands nowadays cannot be sized (or resized).

Many bands and metals, like Tungsten, Titanium, Stainless Steel, cannot be sized by a standard jeweler.

They have to be ordered in the correct size to begin with.

Bands with a continuous design, pattern, inlay (like wood, antler, dinosaur bone, abalone) can’t be sized either.

NOPE!

The metals are too tough. And any inlay item would crack, break or chip. Rings like these are made to order in the correct size to start.

So ordering online can be cheap, but who cares if you can’t wear it?

Many people order online and think they can just take it into a local jewelry store to get it sized and fitted.

It’s Impossible!

Plus, if the store did attempt it, and they ruined your ring, they’d have to replace it (which sucks because you didn’t buy it from them).

So if you’re ordering; STOP. Make sure you have the correct size FIRST (and no guessing).

Take your man into the store to find out his true finger size (And note that his dominant hand will be bigger than his other hand, usually 1/2 size difference).

Find the Correct Size FIRST

Then, and only then, can you order online (or just buy in store).

Because they can’t be sized, or resized. Which also means; Make sure there’s a return policy.

This also means that in 10 years, when he gains weight and needs a bigger ring, it can’t be sized. You’ll have to buy a new one (think about that before you eat that chocolate).

This is the biggest downfall to all the cool and new wedding bands today.

When there was nothing but Gold rings, this wasn’t much of an issue. Gold rings can be sized and resized. Although if it has a pattern, the pattern will still be broken.

So there’s something to be said about Gold (10k, 14k yellow Gold or white Gold). They’re more expensive (and Platinum is even more expensive), but they can be sized.

Other rings, not so much.

Just get the size right, then order. Otherwise, you’re stuck with a ring that just won’t fit.
