The Meanings of Colored Pearl Colors!

Colored pearls are wonderful.

I can’t stop looking at them. They’re simply beautiful. All the hue variations, luster, shine and endless assortment of sizes are just breathtaking.

But what does it all mean? Do certain pearl colors have special meanings and associations linked to them?

Believe it or not, the color of pearls do carry meanings to them.

Moods and Colors:

A lot of these meanings probably are taken from actual moods that certain colors represent.

White pearls are often worn by brides because they portray innocence, beauty, purity and new beginnings.

i have a strand of pearls, they are really old, and the color is almost pink”ish”, very pretty but not my style. how do i know theyre real or how much theyre worth so i can possibly sell them?

    • You’ll have to take them into a jewelry store, or an antique shop to check them out. They should be able to tell from the holes in the pearls, and the thickness of the nacre. -Richard
