WITH DIAMONDS, YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE!

I see it happen almost daily…

People will shop and compare diamonds all over town, and then, after a week or two, they finally decide to come back and buy.

The only problem is:

It’s SOLD!

99% of the time, if you wait more than a couple of days, that diamond will probably be gone.

I swear there’s some sort of Murphy’s Law going on, because it always seems that the very next person that walks in the door, will be looking for that exact same stone you were.

Some people call this “fate“, but call it whatever you like, the fact of the matter is; you lose!

You’ll have to start all over again in your quest for the perfect diamond (and sometimes it’s heartbreaking).

It puts you back to square one.

And it’s all because of this: Good diamonds don’t last!

Good stones, good cuts, good qualities sell ultra-fast.

They literally fly off the shelves (especially if they’re priced well).

So finding the perfect diamond for the perfect price gets tricky. You want to shop around, but you can’t dawdle…

Many times I’ll try to post about a diamond deal from James Allen, and before I have a chance to write about it, it’s gone. Sold. That quick.

And since every single diamond is unique and different, finding a replacement is not easy.

Every SI diamond has their own fingerprint. Every VS stone the same. They’re all different, the way they face up, the way they react with light, the way they reflect and sparkle and dance…

So if you have your heart set on one specific stone, one carat weight, one color, one clarity, one diamond that you just fell in love with…

ACT! Do something about it…

Put some money down to hold it, put it in layaway. If it has a return policy, BUY IT! Because the last thing you want to hear is:

“Sorry, it’s sold!”

It’s frustrating for everyone, and it happens all the time.

I understand that people want to shop and compare (I highly advise it), but don’t take too long to decide. For a couple of weeks in the life of a diamond is like an eternity.

Good diamonds sell like hot cakes

(the poor ugly diamonds stick around)

Especially stones like VS1, F diamonds… They disappear in the blink of an eye.

So the idiom “you snooze, you lose“, is absolutely true for diamond shopping.

If you don’t buy it…

Someone else will!
