Colored pearls are wonderful.
I can’t stop looking at them. They’re simply beautiful. All the hue variations, luster, shine and endless assortment of sizes are just breathtaking.
But what does it all mean? Do certain pearl colors have special meanings and associations linked to them?
Believe it or not, the color of pearls do carry meanings to them.
Moods and Colors:
A lot of these meanings probably are taken from actual moods that certain colors represent.
Like for example; white:
White pearls are often worn by brides because they portray innocence, beauty, purity and new beginnings.

The problems that you run into, when dealing with pearls and colors, is that there are millions and millions of pearl colors. All different shifts in hues, body tones, and iridescence. How can they even be put into categories?
Some pearls display more than one color as well. Their outer shell reflects light and also picks up colors of surrounding objects. It can make it all confusing if you try to pinpoint a particular color range. But, I’ll have to admit, it’s fun trying.
