Brand New Compact Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner Review

Featuring a jewelry cleaner that’s hot off the presses…

It’s NEW!!!

And cute…

And small.

So let’s review it.

I purchased this ultrasonic jewelry cleaner on Amazon for a couple of reasons:

  • It’s brand new
  • It’s compact
  • It’s fairly inexpensive
  • It has a steel tank
  • It has a cleaning basket
  • It uses no batteries

(I hate changing batteries in things… They always die and corrode often.)

So let’s get on with the review:

The very first line of their description sold me. It says:

POWERFUL CLEANING GET NEW ITEM AS SPARKLY LIKE NEW with 45,000 ultrasonic per minute.

SOLD! Right? I get the cleaner within 2 days.

Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner Review

Inside the box is the ultrasonic cleaner and an instruction manual.

Clean Compact Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner

Jewelry Cleaner Comes With Easy To Read Instruction Booklet

The unit is small (compared to other gigantic cleaners), and the lid is attached (hinges back). Inside the cleaner are the basket and power cord:

Ultrasonic Cleaner Cord Basket

The instruction booklet is pretty clear and specific. It gives you all of the proper advice, warnings, and maintenance.

It says to pour in hot water (like coffee hot) into the machine (never submerge the unit under water… especially plugged in). I ran hot water under the tap until it got hot hot, then filled a cup and poured it into the steel tank up to the MAX line. Then I added in a squirt of Mr. Clean (my favorite secret cleaner for jewelry).

Fill Hot Water To The Max Line In Jewelry Cleaner

Then I put my diamond earring into the plastic basket and dropped it into the tank.

Jewelry In Basket In Steel Jewelry Cleaner Tank

It’s important to note that the plastic basket keeps your items from scratching on the steel floor (due to the vibrations). But the steel tank is the best to get for quick clean ups.

I close the lid (to keep splatters down), and plug the unit in (the cord connects to a hole in the back of the machine). As soon as I plug it in, the machine beeps and the red power light flashes (letting you know it’s alive).

Hit the red button once more (the beeps are loud, so even your grandma could hear them), and now the machine turns on and starts to vibrate. It will automatically highlight the 1 minute mark… (the unit goes up to 5 minutes). Pushing the minute button more (the blue SET button on the right) advances the time to 2, 3, 4 or 5 minutes. I always clean my items for at least 5 minutes, just to get them ultra clean.

Set Ultrasonic Cleaner To 5 Minutes

I’m happy this device has minute buttons, because I dislike spin dial timers (they’re never accurate). And not only are the minute buttons on this machine cool, but they count down the time as well. After each minute, the light drops down to the next level showing you how much time is left. It’s a very useful feature.

Jewelry Cleaner Automatic Count Down Timer

Once it gets down to 1 minute, I lift the lid to watch.

Jewelry Ultrasonic Cleaner Ultrasonic Sound Waves

It’s mesmerizing to watch all the ultrasonic sound waves break up the dirt particles… Neat stuff (you can see debris coming off the jewelry).

Once the machine shuts off, I unplug the unit (always do this, just in case you accidentally knock the item over), and pull the basket out of the liquid. And since none of my pieces were small enough to slip through the holes in the plastic, I rinsed them off under the tap. Do realize that if you have tiny items, chains, or even diamonds that have come loose in the cleaner, they may drop through the mesh, so always look (or plug your drains) beforehand.

So what were the results?

Perfectly clean (not that they were that dirty to begin with). But it does what it should; it cleans, and cleans quickly.

I dump the dirty water down the drain (easy to do being unplugged), and quickly rinse out the tank (trying not to get the rest of the unit wet…)

This machine is lightweight, easy to handle, and cleans in seconds. It’s a win-win unit for space saving and efficiency.

Am I pleased with the outcome?

Yes! My earring shined like the day I bought it…

Cleans Jewelry Clean And Sparkly

Would I recommend this product?

Absolutely. I LOVE the size, and the ease.

(And I don’t need to change batteries… YAH!)

The only two downfalls:

  • The power cord is huge
  • It comes with no cleaning brush

Jewelry Cleaner Brush

Big power cords need more room in the outlet, and a brush is recommended to get into all the nooks and crannies of the jewelry (and underneath the gemstones and diamonds where it gets dirty the most).

But, as shown in the image, you can always use a soft toothbrush (or other cleaner brushes). Just gently dab at the pieces to clean them 100%.

So that’s the review…

It’s quick, it’s easy, it cleans items great, and it cleans up well.

P.S. When you’re done cleaning, the basket and cord fit neatly into the unit giving you a very compact footprint.

Cheers! :)
